Firebase Authentication is a registration and authentication service provided by Google Inc. This app is using an anonymous authentication method of Firebase that allows authentication without username and password and where every device gets a unique id. I use this for admin privileges and to make sure only app users access my API to fetch tournament information. Firebase Authentication logs IP addresses of users and keeps them for a few weeks.
Firebase Analytics is used to better understand how users engage with this app and how to improve it. Firebase Crashlytics is used to report stability issues and help me find problems with the app. When you use this app your device automatically sends certain information like session length and what user interface elements you interact with to Firebase. All IP addresses are only saved in anonymised form. Therefore, the data obtained cannot be used to personally identify users. Firebase Analytics uses the Android advertising ID. You can restrict this usage in your device settings at Settings > Google > Ads. If you want to opt out of Firebase Analytics in this app, you can do this in the app settings. More information on data protection with Firebase can be found at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
Upon request, you as a user will receive free information about which personal data has been stored about you. You have the right to correct incorrect data and to have your personal data blocked or deleted.
